It’s alleged that the young Mpho was kidnapped on the evening of 1 February 2020 while sleeping with her 22-year-old mother in Extension 12, Jouberton, outside Klerksdorp. It is alleged that Mpho’s mother woke up and realised that there was an intruder inside the house. The intruder allegedly grabbed the child and fled on foot. After an intensive investigation, Motsanana was arrested. The accused is set to make his second appearance at the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court on 25 March 2020 for a formal bail application.
