Aviation Authority probes NW helicopter accident─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 05:30 Wed, 25 Mar 2020
The Accident and Incident Investigations Division (AIID) of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is expected to release results soon on investigations into a fatal accident at a Christiana farm in the Bloemhof area in the North West.
The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed investigations are underway following the incident on Tuesday.
It is alleged that two people were on-board, one of whom was fatally injured.
The Aviation Authority says the cause of the helicopter accident is at this stage unknown and that investigators have been dispatched to start with the process of collecting evidence, which will determine the exact size and scope of the investigation.
Meanwhile the North West SAPS' spokesperson, Sam Tselanyane, is yet to respond to OFM News' set of questions regarding the incident.
