Bloemfontein drug dealers face 16 charges─── MARVIN NTSANE 11:12 Wed, 25 Mar 2020
A total of six suspected drug dealers aged between 31 and 50 are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court in the Free State today.
Provincial Hawks spokesperson, Lynda Steyn, says they were arrested earlier this week.
She says they allegedly sold various drugs to undercover police members. She adds that the group’s illegal activities were monitored and evidence was gathered since 2017.
Steyn adds that they will face 16 charges of drug dealing and one charge of possession of drugs will be added to one of the suspect's charge sheet.
"Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime project driven Investigation in the greater Mangaung area of Bloemfontein has resulted in the arrest of the group on 23 March 2020," she said.
