#BreakingNews: Angus Buchan, wife test positive for #Coronavirus | News Article

The well-known writer and evangelist Angus Buchan and his wife have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Buchan and his wife took the test after they were exposed to five international guests who earlier tested positive for Covid-19 after attending a church gathering in Bloemfontein earlier this month. Buchan and Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, who is also a member of Parliament (MP), were among guests who led the prayer gathering in the Free State. Buchan made the announcement via Instagram a short while ago and says despite testing positive for the virus they are not showing signs.

Meanwhile, while announcing the results on Wednesday, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said the spike of Covid-19 in the Free State, which increased from 18 to 30 , was linked to the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast held at the Divine Restoration Ministries hosted in Bloemfontein.

He has apologised for what he says is confusion and says they will pray for the good health of all those who came in contact with Covid-19.

After speaking to our private physician this morning - who has been in contact with the laboratory that holds our results - we received greater clarity of our results.

"He says as per regulation surrounding the virus, anyone needs to isolate themselves if they were in contact with a positive case, and if they start displaying symptoms they would need to get tested for the coronavirus," Buchan adds.

Meanwhile, the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) leader, Kenneth Meshoe, also confirmed that he will receive his Coronavirus test results today.

He told OFM News that his results will only be announced this afternoon. This after he too was part of the prayer gathering attended by five international guests who tested positive after visiting Divine Restoration Ministries in Bloemfontein earlier this month. In an exclusive discussion with OFM News on Friday 20 March, Meshoe admitted to having attended a church service where Buchan were present too.
