Klerksdorp now has its own #Covid-19 call center─── 19:00 Fri, 27 Mar 2020
The Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality in the North West launched a call centre as part of its disaster management plans to fight Covid-19.
Executive Mayor, Barei Mosiane-Segotso, told OFM News that the call centre will remind residents to regularly wash their hands and to adhere to social distancing amongst others. The district municipality together with the local municipalities, will man the call centre along with 15 people. Residents can send a message to the centre and will receive a call back for information or when they need assistance. Mosiane-Segotso said the call centre is expected to be in operation for two weeks.
