Mangaung tightens #Coronavirus funeral arrangements─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 17:48 Thu, 02 Apr 2020
The Mangaung Metro Municipality in the Free State is tightening regulations for the handling of the remains of people who have died from the Coronavirus.
This as the pastor of the Global Reconciliation Church in Bloemfontein, Mohau Rammile, announced on social media that one of the members of his congregation, who died from complications associated with the coronavirus on Monday, will be buried in a small private funeral tomorrow.
Mangaung Metro spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, says funeral undertakers in the area have been briefed on the stipulated precautions that need to be taken when carrying out their duties.
Khedama adds that the body will not be taken home at any stage or placed inside the venue where the service will be held.
