NC temporarily relaxes lockdown measures─── LEATILE LEIEE 08:16 Sun, 12 Apr 2020
Hardware stores and registered contractors in Kimberley in the Northern Cape have been given the go-ahead to operate for a week after the area experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by hail on Friday.
This resulted in many homes and businesses suffering severe damages.
The Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structures (ProvJoints) released a statement yesterday allowing these stores to operate until Saturday, 18 April.
This is to allow residents to repair the damages caused by the storm. However, it should be noted that the provision is only for storm-related damages.
Businesses will be allowed to operate during the following times: Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 14:00 and Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
