The Premier of the North West, Job Mokgoro, received a donation of 340 food parcels yesterday from the Mahikeng COVID-19 Support Group.
These food parcels were handed over to the needy in the area.
Mokgoro was accompanied by the MEC for Social Development, Boitumelo Moiloa, and other members of the Provincial Command Council.
The support group is an initiative that was started by young business owners and community leaders who came together to raise funds in Mahikeng.
Communities are encouraged to pledge their support to the solidarity fund. Details can be found on the Department of Health's social media platforms.
Meanwhile, one new case of COVID-19 has since been reported in the province, taking the number of confirmed cases to 19. No fatalities have been reported.
