Burglars got away with tablets and other equipment after they broke into a school in Botshabelo this weekend.
This came amid a spate of vandalism at schools across the country, as they stand empty during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Free State Education spokesperson, Howard Ndaba, confirmed to OFM News that the break-in at Setjhaba Se Maketse Combined School was discovered on Monday morning by security personnel.
Education MEC, Tate Makgoe, condemned what he called a spate of burglaries, vandalism and damage to property at schools in the province.
He appealed to communities to protect schools in their areas and to report any suspected criminal activities.
