On Thursday night Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, announced that 113 people have been infected while at least 5 people have died due to the virus in the province.

Premier Sisi Ntombela says at least 5 555 people have been referred for testing following the rollout of the Covid-19 screening, testing contact tracing programme. She says so far 5 049 tests have been conducted in the province while 616 207 have been screened for the virus.

The Members of the Executive Council, led by Ntombela, held a candlelight prayer session at Naval Hill in Bloemfontein. Ntomebala says the prayer session was in remembrance of all the people who lost their lives to the coronavirus and those who continue to battle the disease. 

This, as 103 people across the country lost their lives to the virus.
