#CoronavirusFS: #Covid19 programme to assist orphanage, youth centre─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 07:44 Tue, 12 May 2020
Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela, together with Social Development MEC Mamiki Qabathe, will today hand over beds to the Tshireletsong Child & Youth Care Center (CYCC) in Bloemfontein.
The handing over, in partnership with King Comfort Mattress, is part of the Covid-19 social relief measures to assist homeless and needy people in the province.
The provincial government in a statement says they are hopeful these efforts will encourage other sectors to lend a helping hand to vulnerable members of society, as the country fights against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize last night announced that the number of positive cases in the country now stands at 10 652 with 4 357 recoveries.
The Western Cape remains the epicentre followed by Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape and then the Free State.
