The department spokesperson, Kgotso Tau, says every effort is being made to ensure that Free State businesses can access the Covid-19 relief packages.

He says some of the participants have mentioned that the challenges they face in the strict application processes include tax, UIF obligations and trading permits from manucipalities. 

Tau says the department's multi-stakeholder task team - which consists of representatives from the chamber of business, government departments and the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) - is working collaboratively to allow the alignment of the affected businesses with the government for the provision of the relief packages. He says Mohale will also announce the application processes.
