FS mother and two sons murdered─── MARVIN NTSANE 06:22 Mon, 18 May 2020
Free State police are investigating a triple murder in Sasolburg that was committed on Sunday 17 May 2020.
Provincial police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says police were called to a house in Extension 3 in the Zamdela township.
He says upon their arrival at the house, a 37-year-old mother and her two sons (aged nine and two years old) were found brutally murdered in a bedroom.
He adds they all appeared to have been stabbed with a sharp object. According to Makhele the preliminary investigation revealed that the incident happened between 22:00 and 05:00.
He adds that a 16-year-old boy who was also in the house at the time of the incident was unharmed.
He further says the deceased woman's husband was not found at the house and police are still trying to trace his whereabouts. No-one has been arrested.
