NC duo to appear in court for drugs─── MARVIN NTSANE 06:32 Mon, 18 May 2020
Two alleged drug peddlers are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court in the Northern Cape today.
Provincial police spokesperson, Olebogeng Tawana, says the two were arrested on Sunday, 17 May 2020.
They were found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R200 000.
He adds the arrest was made by organised crime detectives and members of provincial corporate communication.
Tawana says police followed a suspicious vehicle until it reached a residence at Rhosdene in Kimberley.
During a search various drugs, including crystal meth, ketamine, and Mandrax tablets, were found.
Tawana says an undisclosed amount of cash was also found.
He confirmed this was all confiscated and the suspects were arrested immediately.
Police management applauded the members for their vigilance by removing drugs off the streets.
