The Municipal spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, says the cuts will last for twelve hours - from 07:00 until 19:00. He says BloemWater has identified a pipe leak that needs to be repaired.

He says this pipe leak is causing excessive water loss, adding the leakage may have impact on residents in the area due to water seepage into yards that could lead to property damage. He urges the community to use water sparingly while the matter is being attended to.
