NC ANC welcomes council dissolution─── LUCKY NKUYANE 17:27 Tue, 19 May 2020
The ANC, at the helm in the Northern Cape, has welcomed the dissolution of the troubled municipal council of the Phokwane Local Municipality in Hartswater.
The ANC provincial secretary, Deshi Ngxanga, tells OFM News that the ruling party is pleased with the decision to dissolve the council. He says the ANC is of the firm view that this intervention will bring much-needed calm in the municipality.
The ANC has called on all its structures in the Phokwane region to accept the decision and exercise discipline. While announcing the decision today, Premier Zamani Saul said the dissolution of this embattled council follows as the municipality has been riddled with political and administrative challenges for the last four years.
