NC Education MEC to announce readiness of schools to reopen─── MARVIN NTSANE 11:12 Sun, 24 May 2020
The Northern Cape MEC of Education, Mac Jack, is expected to brief the media on the state of readiness of schools in Kimberley tomorrow, 25 May.
Jack will be expected to outline the progress made by his department in ensuring a safe return to schools amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
This comes after the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, announced a phased-in reopening of schools earlier this month.
Teachers and support staff are expected to return to work tomorrow. Meanwhile, grade 7 and 12 learners are expected to be back at school on the first of June.
