#CoronavirusFS: Over 30 #Covid19 patients hospitalised─── LUCKY NKUYANE 07:44 Thu, 28 May 2020
At least 34 coronavirus patients in the Free State have been admitted in hospital while 554 Covid-19 suspected contacts are being housed at the supervised quarantine sites across the province.
The province also announced that 3 637 out of 3 662 known contacts have been traced and 26 322 tests have been conducted by the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS), with over 9 640 conducted at private laboratories.
Close to 2 million people have been screened across the province. So far the province has 92 active cases after 128 patients recovered, and 8 deaths were reported from 221 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
On Tuesday night, Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela announced two more deaths linked to the virus in Mangaung (which includes Bloemfontein) and one in Xhariep (which includes Trompsburg in the Kopanong Local Municipality).
