#CoronavirusNC: NICD consulted over unallocated results─── LUCKY NKUYANE 10:23 Mon, 01 Jun 2020
The Northern Cape Department of Health is convinced that its only two unallocated coronavirus test results should be taken over by another province.
The departmental spokesperson, Lebohang Majaha, says the department is in discussion with the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) to see this rectified on Monday. The national department had previously explained that the unallocated results mean that the individuals cannot be reached by the department to be given their test results.
OFM News previously reported that three healthcare workers with a travelling history to the Eastern Cape and Western Cape recently tested positive for the virus in the province. So far the province has about 37 active cases after 31 patients recovered, and one death was recorded from 69 cases reported.
Meanwhile, Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize on Sunday night announced that South Africa has recorded 32 683 cases of Covid-19 in total. Mkhize also announced that there are also 683 and 16 809 recoveries.
