Long queues form outside Bfn liquor stores─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 10:30 Mon, 01 Jun 2020
More and more people are lining up outside liquor stores across Mangaung to purchase their choice of alcohol following government's decision to lift the ban on liquor sales during the level 3 lockdown.
Scores of customers lined up outside the liquor stores at the Twin City Mall in Heidedal and Rocklands Shopping Complex on Monday morning to get their hands on their preferred drinks.
Although a number of them were hostile and did not want to be interviewed or photographed, a 54-year-old Rocklands resident told the OFM News team that the banning of alcohol and cigarette sales was wrong of the government, as the sales thereof is the only source of income for many. He maintains the ban on cigarette sales should also be lifted.
Whilst queues outside these stores were getting longer and longer, many customers were adhering to the wearing of masks and keeping to the safe social distance regulations.
