Provincial police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says the Zamdela police station in Sasolburg has been temporarily closed due to one of its members having tested positive for the Coronavirus on Monday.

The closure of this police station comes just weeks after OFM News reported on the reopening of the Bethlehem police station and the Batho police station in Bloemfontein. The two police stations were closed due to Covid-19 cases. Makhele says Community Service Centre in Sasolburg will now operate from number 01 railway station building located at Coalbrook while the building undergoes decontamination.

"People are advised to call 082 728 7999 for all emergencies and complaints which will be attended by Zamdela cluster Operational Command Centre members. The telephone lines at Zamdela police station community service centre will not be accessible for the duration of closure" said Makhele.
