Provincial Police spokesperson, Montatsi Makhele, tells OFM News the retail store in St Helena was robbed by three armed men on Monday evening.

Makhele says according to information received, a 28-year-old complainant - who is an employee at the store - was sitting in the office when three armed men suddenly made their entrance.

One of them is alleged to have brandished a firearm, instructing everyone in the store to lie down.

He asked the complainant about money shortly before he discharged the pistol into the ground.

Makhele confirmed there were no injuries, and the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
