#CoronavirusFS: Bethulie Police Station reopens─── MARVIN NTSANE 12:25 Wed, 17 Jun 2020
The SAPS have confirmed that the public can now access services again at the Bethulie Police Station in the Free State as its doors reopened on Wednesday.
The police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, confirms the station has been decontaminated. He also says the police members were tested for the coronavirus and returned to work. He says the members' contacts were traced and those who have been affected by the virus are in quarantine and those who are still waiting for their results remain in self-isolation. This station was closed over the weekend after one of its members tested positive for Covid-19.
The provincial commissioner, Baile Motswenyane, says the department of health guided all the processes. She also says the police are vulnerable to the virus as they are in the forefront. Motswenyane further says measures are in place to ensure policing continues in the communities. She thanked the community for their patience.
