The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation confirms the suspect was arrested last night in a multi-disciplinary operation in Soweto and will soon appear in the Mahikeng Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder, attempted murder, possession of illegal firearms and ammunition and attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances. The directorate's Katlego Mogale, in a statement, confirms ten suspects have been accounted for in this case so far. He says three suspects had been fatally wounded, while six are behind bars on similar charges. Mogale says the last suspect, Tebo Phuthegolo, is, however, still on the run and urges anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the police.

"The public is warned not to approach the wanted suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous".

Tebo Phuthegolo, also known as Boitumelo Mashishi, is called upon to hand himself over so that he can come and prove his innocence before court.  

"As indicated before, our team shall not rest until all the members of this organised criminal group have been arrested. I commend the team for the work that they are doing to hunt down these suspects," said the National Head, Godfrey Lebeya.
