#CoronavirusFS: Bethulie police station closes doors again | News Article

The SAPS in the Free State confirmed the police station in Bethulie has been closed again after another member tested positive for Covid-19.

The station was closed earlier this month and reopened after deep-cleaning. Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, says the Community Service Centre will temporarily operate from the Stocktheft offices situated at no 28 Buiten Street in Bethulie and the building will once again undergo decontamination. Bethulie has since been flagged as another hotspot in the province, following Mangaung with the number of positive cases now at 111.

"For the duration of the closure, the number (051) 763-7400 can be used to report any complaints and crime incidents," Mbambo said.

The closure of this police station comes just days after OFM News reported on a Covid-19 outbreak at the Mangaung Police Station in Bloemfontein, which is now closed for the third time. Three more police officials are confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19 at this police station this week alone.
