No-one was denied entry - Centlec | News Article

A social media post alleging that three former executive members of Centlec have been banned and or restricted from accessing its premises - are said to be false.

This follows after a circulating social media post alleges that the company’s former CEO, Andries Mgoqi, the former Human Resource executive, Stella Molefe, and the former General Manager, Leon Kritzinger, have been banned from Centlec’s offices.

Centlec spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, says at no stage did the management of Centlec take resolutions to restrict any member of the public from accessing its premises.

Mamatu says Centlec distances itself from these allegations.

He adds the message should be dismissed and ignored by the public.

Mamatu further states that the trio are members of the community and regarded as part of Centlec's important customers, and as such, they have the right to gain access to the premisses.

He says Centlec did, however, restrict the public and employees from accessing its premises from 30 June until 2 July to allow for decontamination after two employees tested positive for Covid-19.

"Centlec management would like to state it categorically that Centlec is a public institution which offers basic services to all members of the public, including its employees, and therefore it is always open for the public and anyone willing to conduct any type of business-related for the provision of electricity services," he further adds.
