Tswaing's Ward 15 councillor, Tumelo Mtimkhulu, appeared in the Coligny Magistrate's Court on Monday after he was arrested when two stolen sheep were found at his home on Friday.

This, after police followed up on information about stolen livestock.

Police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, told OFM News that Mtimkhulu will reappear in court on Tuesday with two other suspects who were also charged with stock theft.

The ANC's Ngaka Modiri Molema District regional secretary, Boy Noko, stated that a meeting will be held in Delareyville on Wednesday and that the arrest of the councillor will be added to the list of discussions.

Noko says they are awaiting the police report and will then make a decision on the matter.
