The Bethlehem and Sasolburg Police Stations have confirmed that the closure of the stations are due to members testing positive for the coronavirus.


According to police spokesperson, Sam Makhele, the closure will mean the stations will have an opportunity for decontamination and to attend to members who may have been affected to undergo the necessary protocols. SAPS ensure that the communities of the respective stations will be informed once Covid-19 related protocols have been passed.

Sasolburg CSC will temporarily operate from the Detectives Offices at Riemland Street and the following numbers can be contacted for emergencies 082-527-6787; 082-525-2417.

Bethlehem CSC will temporarily operate from the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (Old Magistrate's Court Building) at the corner of High and President Boshof Street, and the following number can be contacted for emergencies, 082-527-6535 and the Station Commander can be contacted at 083-294-4822.

The acting Provincial Commissioner of the Free State and management wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.
