The Dealesville and Vrede SAPS have confirmed that their police stations have closed down due to members testing positive for the coronavirus.
Police spokesperson in the province, Motantsi Makhele, says that the communities will have to temporarily access services at different locations while the buildings are decontaminated and cleaned. The community will be informed once the stations are operational again.
All communities served by the Dealesville Police Station are informed that SAPS will be operating from the Victim Empowerment Centre situated next to the police station in School Street. The following number can be contacted in case of any emergencies: 082-466-8381.
The community of Vrede is informed that SAPS will now be operating from the Vrede Showgrounds Municipal Building situated at Niekerk Street, closer to the stock theft unit offices. The following number can be contacted in case of any emergencies: 082-372-2307.
SAPS management apologises for any inconveniance that may arise from these temporary closures.
