#CoronavirusFS: Health steps in as workers down tools─── CATHY DLODLO 16:43 Mon, 20 Jul 2020
The Free State Health department has intervened at the Free State Psychiatric Complex in Bloemfontein after workers downed tools on Monday.
They accused the department – at the centre of fighting Covid-19 in the province – of not adhering to the appropriate protocols.
This followed after media reports indicated that at least 19 patients and 15 workers – including nurses at the hospital - have tested positive.
Provincial Spokesperson Mondli Mvambi says they started talks with all the unions representing workers.
