This is according to Northern Cape Premier, Zamani Saul. He made the announcement during his budget speech, which was streamed live on Tuesday. 

Saul’s budget for the Office of the Premier amounts to R273.3 million. The Premier started his term with a promise to overhaul public health in the province.

The province recorded the temporary closing of 84 schools due to positive Covid-19 cases. 

Saul further announced that the Northern Cape partnered with the Western Cape provincial government to introduce an electronic filing system at all health centers across the province. 

He says the provincial government is also currently reconciling existing conditional grants with the aim of accelerating implementation thereof.
