Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, tells OFM News tracker information from the two stolen bakkies led authorities to the suspects, who were traveling along Tierpoort on the N1, at around 20:00 on Thursday.

Mbambo says the newly established Mangaung Metro Task Team intercepted the stolen vehicles, which were driven by two of the suspects.

Mbambo says a third stolen vehicle was also recovered in the operation, but it is yet to be revealed when and from where it was reported stolen.

Three men between the ages of 33 and 46 have been arrested and will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court in due course for “possession of suspected stolen vehicle, possession of vehicle theft implements and conspiracy to commit crime”.
