Bfn clinic robbed, twice─── MARVIN NTSANE 17:17 Mon, 27 Jul 2020
The Kagisanong Clinic in Bloemfontein has been robbed, where the perpetrators allegedly made off with at least four computers worth an estimated amount of R44 000.
The department of Health spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, says that this is the second time this clinic has been broken into and had its computers stolen in less than two months.
Police spokesperson, Motantshi Makhele, says that a complaint was laid on Monday following this weekend’s incident, and a case of burglary is being investigated.
“The complainant alleges that they left everything in order, locked, burglar doors and windows. However, on Monday morning, she [the complainant] received a call informing her about the break-in at the clinic. Upon arrival at the clinic they found out that the suspects broke into the reception through the window".
Mvambi added that these acts of criminality are negatively impacting service delivery, as the department is now forced to spend money on replacement of equipment that the clinic desperately needs to provide health care services.
