Provincial police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, says the suspects aged between 19 and 42 will face three counts of murder, kidnapping and robbery.

He says the police activated a 72-hour action plan which led to the arrests on Tuesday. OFM News reported earlier this week that the family was abducted from their house on Sunday in two of their vehicles, which were also stolen.

The body of the 50-year-old daughter, Elzabie Brand, was found in a field in Taung in the North West on Tuesday, while the bodies of the 83-year-old Danie and 73-year-old Breggie Brand were found close-by in a field in the Takaneng Village later that day.

Three of the suspects were arrested after the police spotted the vehicle they were travelling in matched the description of one belonging to the deceased. The other two suspects were arrested later that day following further investigations after the arrests.
