The police in Evaton in the Vaal triangle are closely monitoring the situation, after residents, who were previously evicted, are trying to rebuild their shacks.
This came after residents on Friday witnessed their houses and shacks being demolished by the Red Ants eviction company.
Reportedly, the land in dispute belongs to the Emfuleni Local Municipality – and the alleged illegally occupied land is situated between the N1 and the Golden highway.
OFM News is still awaiting response from the municipality, who last week promised to answer queries.
