According to police spokesperson Mohale Ramatseba, the suspects were spotted driving along the R31 between Kuruman and Hotazel.

Ramatseba says they were seen by police, who deemed the bakkie to be suspicious – and proceeded to follow them and pulling the vehicle over. Upon searching the bakkie, police found two Kudus, one Gemsbok, one Steenbok and a hunting rifle. The men were allegedly hunting on a farm without permission.

The men, aged between 39 and 47, are expected to appear before the Kuruman Magistrate’s court on Thursday on charges of illegal hunting.
