Representatives of the Northern Cape Government are expected to meet with the family of Education MEC Mac Jack today.
Premier Zamani Saul announced last night that Jack passed away late Wednesday afternoon.
He said Jack was hospitalised about a week ago after testing positive for Covid-19 and was expected to make a full recovery.
His condition, however, took a turn for the worse and he passed away.
Saul said the government will meet the family to discuss the funeral arrangements.
