This, after municipal offices in Reitz were closed on August 6 due to Covid-19 positive cases. The municipality, which serves the communities of Arlington, Lindley, Petrus Steyn, and Reitz, confirms residents can now have access to municipal offices after the building affected has been decontaminated. 

Acting Municipal Manager, Mokete Nhlapo, confirms all contacts had been traced and requested to self-isolate as per the Health Department's guidelines. The municipality situated within the Thabo Mofutsanyana District also urges all residents to take precautionary measures against the spread of the coronavirus. 

The Thabo Mofutsanyana District currently has the third-highest number of Covid-19 positive cases, following the Mangaung Metro and Lejweleputswa Municipalities. 

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize in his daily coronavirus reports last night, indicated that the number of positive cases in the Free State now stands at 29 578 with 414 deaths and 14 522 recoveries.
