FS accident claims one life─── MARVIN NTSANE 13:00 Sat, 15 Aug 2020
An accident on the N1 south-bound highway, approximately 20km outside of Bloemfontein in the Free State, has claimed one life and left another injured.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says this follows after a truck and a light motor vehicle collided this morning.
He says that paramedics attended to the scene where they found the wrecked light motor vehicle parked on the side of the road, while the truck was found in the road.
He states that the paramedics found a man, believed to be in his 30’s, lying next to the light motor vehicle.
Meiring adds that he was declared dead on the scene.
He adds that the truck driver was treated for minor injuries he sustained and was transported to the Pelonomi Provincial Hospital in Bloemfontein for further care.
