A Northern Cape man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 26-year-old to death over an argument at Lerato Park in Roodepan.
According to police, the two men were allegedly engaged in an argument over a set of earrings, on Monday, and the altercation turned violent.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Kimberley Magistrate's Court soon on a count of murder.
Following the release of provincial crime statistics last week, OFM News reported that Northern Cape Premier Zamani Saul labelled knives as a major problem in the province, contributing to numerous violent crimes.
