The police spokesperson, Fikile Funda, confirmed that he was found seated against the wall in his bedroom and naked with visible injuries to his forehead. He says the police attended the scene after they were alerted by his helper on Monday.

Funda explains that according to the helper, she left him on Thursday because she only works on certain days. On Monday when she arrived at work she was working in the kitchen as the doctor normally goes to his surgery. Later in the afternoon, when she wanted to start work in the bedroom, she found blood all over the place when she made the discovery.

Funda says a case of murder has been opened and the police are investigating the incident. No suspect has been arrested yet.
