NW suspect expected in court for murder of mistress─── MARVIN NTSANE 10:43 Wed, 09 Sep 2020
A 27-year-old woman accused of stabbing her alleged boyfriend’s lover to death is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate's Court in the North West on Wednesday.
This, after the accused allegedly stabbed the 30-year-old woman, Christinah Ditsele, to death at Cyferskuil Village near Brits earlier on Monday.
The police spokesperson, Amanda Funani, explains that an argument ensued when the suspect caught her boyfriend with Ditsele and accused him of cheating. She says following the argument, the accused ran to her house to grab a knife and attacked the two. Funani mentions that the boyfriend managed to flee while she grabbed the deceased, pushed her to the ground, and stabbed her.
Funani says Ditsele was transported to the Kutlwanong Clinic, where she was certified dead. The suspect was apprehended and charged with murder.
The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, condemned the incident and pleaded with members of the community to solve their differences amicably rather than resorting to violence, which often leads to incidents such as this one.
