NW matrics to commence exams─── MARVIN NTSANE 11:13 Sun, 13 Sep 2020
Over 38 000 matric learners are expected to write English Paper 1 of the preliminary examinations in the North West on Monday.
The provincial Department of Education’s media liaison officer, Bayanda Zenzile, says question papers are safeguarded by security guards at storage points across the province. She says papers will be delivered to schools on Monday morning.
Zenzile says the provincial Education MEC, Mmaphefo Matsemela, wishes learners good luck and appeals to them to stay focused and dedicated during their exams.
According to Zenzile, Matsemela says “I wish to extend my well wishes to the class of 2020 as they will be sitting for their preliminary examinations at a difficult time such as this. You stopped at nothing to [make] this year a success for both yourselves and the department at large. You made use of every opportunity granted - from accessing the dial-a-tutor medium to radio lessons. You grabbed the opportunity and I commend you all for that dedication. My plea is for you to remain focused and dedicated and I wish you all the very best."
