The fight against the surge of the novel coronavirus in the Free State continues to improve.
This as the provincial Health MEC, Montsheng Tsiu, will officially launch a completed Covid-19 ward in Welkom on Tuesday. The Provincial Health Department spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, says the ward is at the Bongani Hospital in Thabong.
Mvambi explains that the ward has a capacity of 150 beds. This follows the opening of a similar ward at the Universitas Academic Hospital and the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein last month.
