A 34-year-old man has appeared in the Brits Magistrate's Court for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in Mooinooi on Saturday.
According to North West police spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, the victim’s father and mother left their daughter with the suspect, who is a family friend, as they went to see off their nephew who was visiting them.
The suspect was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, says the police will not hesitate to make sure that those who perpetrate violence against women and children are brought to justice to face the full might of the Law.
