OFM News previously reported that the body was found in a water pipe outside town in the early hours of Sunday while the head was found hidden under a bed in a shanty where the 16-year-old boy was arrested. 

Police spokesperson, Dimakatso Mooi, has told OFM News no other arrests have been made following the discovery of the decapitated body. She says it remains unclear what led to the brutal killing, and the police are appealing to anyone who might have information about this murder to come forward. Meanwhile, the 16-year-old boy has been taken for medical evaluation.

"The police request that anyone who may have information about this incident, to please contact the Station Commander on 082 822 3077 or the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111. All information received will be treated as confidential," said Mooi.
