This follows after the bodies of a boy and a girl were discovered on Saturday. The children, aged six and eight respectively, went missing on Friday evening when they allegedly walked home from a hair salon.

They were reported missing to the police early Saturday morning.

A family member of one of the victims received a call on Saturday, from an anonymous person, telling them to collect their deceased.

A note by the alleged killer was also found on the dead girl's body.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters says the investigations into this double murder is now prioritised by the SAPS provincial investigation unit.

Earlier this year, OFM News reported on the discovery of a 10-year-old boy’s body inside a refrigerator at a local tavern.

All 3 children reportedly lived on the same street. 

The most recent discovery brings to 7 the total number of children killed in this township since the beginning of the national COVID-19 lockdown.
