The Hawks arrested five suspects for allegedly human trafficking ten women from Limpopo, Lesotho, and Namibia to work in brothels in Kuruman in the Northern Cape and Rustenburg in the North West.
The Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi, says the suspects were arrested at different properties in Kuruman and Rustenburg during a take-down operation.
Mulaudzi says they are working with Home Affairs and the identity of the suspects will be released later.
He says the suspects will appear in the Kuruman and Rustenburg Magistrates’ Courts on Monday.
The investigation continues.
