Trouble has mounted at the Vaal High School in Sedibeng after allegations of sexual advances were levelled against educators at the school.
Angry parents complained to the school that they have concerns about inappropriate behaviour by some teachers. According to the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) Sedibeng Regional Chairperson, Isaac Khithika, its members are very concerned and want to confront these teachers head-on.
EFF members are currently outside the school where they are being refused access to the school. ‘’We acted swiftly in attending to the matter. We didn’t waste any time and we want justice to be served. It cannot be correct that our kids go to school and feel unsafe."
Khithika added that community members should rest assured that it will not be business as usual while there are allegations of this nature at the school.
This issue in the south of Gauteng has received quite a lot of attention on social media.
MEC Lesufi acknowledged on Twitter that he is aware of the matter although neither the department nor the school could be reached for comment yet.
