NC drug dealers to appear in court─── 11:46 Thu, 08 Oct 2020
Two foreign male nationals, aged 33 and 38 years, are due to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court in the Northern Cape on charges of dealing in drugs.
This follows after their arrest yesterday by members of the Kimberley K9 and Frances Baard Crime intelligence units, says police spokesperson, Mashay Gamieldien. Police members apprehended the suspects at a house in Beaconsfield in Kimberley and it is alleged that one of the suspects is a well-known dealer in the city, declares Gamieldien.
While searching the accused’s premises, officials discovered Tik in the house and in a vehicle - hidden in the sun visor. The value of the seized drugs is estimated to be R74 058.
The police seized a silver Datsun as it was used in the commission of a crime, as well as cash believed to be the proceeds of the sale of the drugs. This follows another drug bust reported on by OFM News earlier this month, regarding a suspect arrested by the Hawks for drugs allegedly being sold at apartments in Roodepan. Brigadier Nicky Mills applauded the team for their relentless efforts in pressing drug dealers.
